At AnyModel, we believe in radical transparency and user privacy. This policy outlines our data practices, which are fundamentally different from most AI applications.
Core Principle: Zero-Server Architecture
AnyModel operates with a zero-server architecture for user data. Your prompts, API keys, conversations, and all user-generated content are never transmitted to or stored on AnyModel servers. This is by design and fundamental to our product philosophy.
1. Data Collection
AnyModel collects minimal data necessary for application functionality:
Local Storage: Your API keys, conversation history, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using encrypted local storage (platform keychain, secure storage, or encrypted database).
Crash Reports: Anonymized crash reports may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics to improve application stability. These reports contain technical error information only.
App Analytics: Minimal anonymous usage analytics may be collected to understand feature adoption and improve user experience. This data is aggregated and non-identifiable.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
AnyModel explicitly does not collect the following:
Prompt Content: We do not collect, store, or analyze your prompts, queries, or conversations with AI models.
API Keys: Your API keys are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to AnyModel servers.
AI Responses: Content generated by AI models in response to your queries is not stored or accessed by AnyModel.
Personal Information: We do not collect names, emails, or other personally identifiable information unless you explicitly provide it for support purposes.
User Behavior: We do not track or analyze how you interact with AI models, what topics you discuss, or your usage patterns beyond aggregate statistics.
3. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored locally on your device with strong encryption:
Platform Keychains: API keys are stored using platform-specific secure storage (Keychain on iOS/macOS, Keystore on Android, Credential Manager on Windows).
Encrypted Database: Conversation history and preferences are stored in an encrypted local database.
No Cloud Backup: Your data is not backed up to AnyModel servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync through your own account provider (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive).
Device-Locked: Data is tied to your device and cannot be accessed without device authentication.
4. Third-Party Services
AnyModel communicates with third-party AI providers on your behalf:
Direct Communication: Your prompts are sent directly to AI provider APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) using your API keys. These communications are governed by the respective provider's privacy policies.
Provider Policies: AnyModel does not control or endorse the privacy practices of AI providers. Review their policies for information on how they handle your data.
App Store Services: The app may use standard app store services for analytics and crash reporting, which are subject to Apple and Google's respective privacy policies.
5. Data Deletion and Retention
You have full control over your data:
Complete Deletion: You can delete all app data at any time through the app settings. This removes all local data permanently.
Conversation Management: Individual conversations can be deleted selectively.
API Key Removal: API keys can be revoked at any time from provider dashboards or removed from the app.
Uninstall: Uninstalling the app removes all local data. Back up important conversations before uninstalling if desired.
6. Children's Privacy
AnyModel is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of AnyModel following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
